"These 18-year old visionaries endured sleepless nights and sacrificed every penny to make their vision come true…and after 5 years, over 45 workshops, over 100 mentees, and over 500 participants at their two annual conferences, they have exemplified what tenacity really means. It is only fitting to theme WEST Inc.’s 3rd Annual Conference “Tenacity: Triumph Over Trials”. The conference will be held at The Great Hall at the City College of the City University of New York on Saturday, March 31st, 2012 from 8:30am to 3:00p.m. During this one-day experience, women from all walks of life will participate in informative workshops, panel discussions and networking opportunities. It is our vision to see you walk away with greater strength, purpose, and the will to overcome your obstacles, and then live up to your highest potential." --WEST, Inc www.westinc.org.

These photos are of drawings from Kenneth M. Johnson, Jr. a 2011 Virginia Union University Graduate. His expertise was requested by a local educational official (whom owns the rights to these drawings) and they gave him the creative freedom to draw off of an educational theme. Kenneth is also the visual creator of the SCP, LLC logo! I gave him the idea behind the business and what it meant to me. Two weeks later he emailed the finished product! You can view the original drawing to the right. To requst his expertise and pricing for anything you may need in the future contact Kenneth here via the SCP, LLC contact page. Yes, I said it! There are many things in the world that are worth saying but never get heard or seen. Now you can post them to SCP, LLC and own it on public record! You can post as many as you want! Can't wait to hear what kind of originality is out there in the world. Who knows? Maybe you will end up in a Hallmark Card or on a TeePhrase shirt! KKDT I am honestly one of those people that deem 'reality tv' the epitome of evil! I can't stand the staged fights, inappropriate behaviors and lack of morals on all of these shows. My disgust increases to the point of no return when children are involved. This is the case with "Toddlers in Tiaras." It is as if we are glorifying the worst in inhumane behavior! Did we forget about the Jean Benet case already? Or how about how we glorify everything sexual with females but the spiritual and mental are lacking. TMZ.com ascertained a copy of a video of Isabella Barrett in a night club singing a song that she has no business singing. I have a 3 year old daughter and forbid her to sing anything not age appropriate. Call me old school, but at least I know my child will not be mentally, emotionally and physcially ruined. The video below is the property of TMZ.com. Let's band together as a society and encourage growth of our society via education, ![]() So, we all thought that 2011's trials and toils were never going to end. We have been through it all: relationships (personal and business), finances, living situations, spiritual droughts, facing life long fears, lay offs, deaths of loved ones, critical decisions, etc. But Look! We have made it to 2012 in ONE Piece!
Now that you have done the ground work to survive 2011 and make 2012 a new beginning, what is next? How do you get from last year's ground work to this year's success? Isn't that the popular topic of 2012? Well, JUST DO IT! Whatever you have laid ground work for in 2011, now is the time to put it into action. Dreams only remain dreams due to non-action (yes I made a word...lol). I encourage you to take positive steps in securing your prosperous 2012. Here are 7 easy points to remember:
