#WeGiveBecauseWeCare #365Days has joined the The G.Y.M. Project movement! We are excited to work with such a passionate organization that is geared toward ending childhood obesity. 

See, the initiative is going to put an end to the cycle that creates childhood obesity. When neighborhood recreational spaces are ignored, exercise and play are greatly diminished in that area. We then see a lack of resources for recreational groups to conduct health and wellness opportunities within these communities. Soon after the decline in resources, we see an increase in obesity -- parents and children alike. 

The founder of The G.Y.M. Project witnessed this cycle and decided to make a change from the foundation of play -- parks! As a member of the Bronx Community Board 9, a scholar recipient of Partnership for Parks and a member of Friends of Soundview Parks the founder has equipped himself with the knowledge needed to revitalize recreational areas in underprivileged neighborhoods. Now he is preparing to spread the knowledge throughout the community for a healthier future!
