![]() Celebrity Publicists Antoine & Andre Von Boozier and CMC had the Inspired In NY Red Carpet on FIRE July 11 at Griffin NYC! We saw Ramona Singer, The Beekman Boys, Ice Castle Model Madam Bambi and IINY Founder Camille Evans come to pay homage to Sonja and her efforts to brighten the world! Prior to all of the events, I got a chance to speak with Cynthia "Cindy" Hussey, a friend of Sonja's. Cindy is the designer and founder of Velvet Eyewear (velveteyewear.com) and praised Sonja for her jovial and giving spirit. Cindy gifted some of the eye wear and I must say they are just FABULOUS! Camille Evans, founder of INSPIRED IN NEW YORK introduced The Beekman Boys to present the certificate of honor to Sonja. They came up and thanked Sonja for her continued friendship and support she has shown them over the years before and after their marriage. She 'vowed' to be the foundation of many of their endeavors, including marriage equality. Sonja accepted her certificate of honor and gave a truly touching speech. She is poised and humble. She is articulate and thankful. She is truly a GEM! Take a look at her gracefulness and humbleness in the video below! Find out more at www.sonjamorgan.com! The finest clothing made is a person's skin, but, of course, society demands something more than this. - Mark Twain Amy Delson Jewelry is truly an expression of love. As a female jewelry designer, Amy understands women. She knows women are capable of expressing their love levels 'Lovels' through their creative choices, otherwise known as accessories. Amy designs to bring out and crown the powerful, feminine, artistic and playful sides of a woman. She combines gemstones, crystals, art glass, sterling silver, gold plating, brass and copper to manifest her creations. Amy Delson Jewelry collaborated with Studio 6th Sense during the Nolcha FW 2013 runway event. Studio 6th Sense is the artistic creation from designer Stephen Goudeau. Stephen believes we are blessed with a sixth sense that applies the sense of style and uniqueness of each woman that is illustrated in their way of life. His canvas for creating his brand is the contour of a woman's body. Check out Amy and Stephen's answers to SCP's questions below: 1. When did you decide handmade jewelry was how you were going to change the world of fashion? When did you decide that women's designs was how you were going to change the world of fashion? Amy: When I saw that I was getting compliments every time I wore one of my own pieces, and so many others I'd created custom pieces for shared the same experience, I knew that I had to give more women out there the same opportunity. It is a joy to create beautiful jewelry that plays a pivotal role in women's personal expression. Stephen: That's still a question mark in my head. To be honest, I've always been a creative individual you could say. I feel true fashion is an expression and imagination of a designers eyes of how the world should look, whether in disagreement or not. With saying that, true art is very important to me. I knew that in order to begin my creative niche, I wanted to start with one of God’s most precious creations, the woman. I believe critiquing and complimenting the figure of a woman is very important. 2. Why did you choose Nolcha Fashion Week 2013? Amy: I was excited to have an international platform in which I could have my jewelry featured two ways: on the runway in collaboration with a clothing designer and in exhibition at the fashion lounge. The time was right for me to jump in! Stephen: Nolcha does a fantastic job in supporting upcoming designers. I did a lot of research and saw how supportive they were in helping designers to grow and network. It was then I decided to give Nolcha Fashion week a try and I have never regretted that decision. 3. How did the runway partnership come about with Sixth Sense Fashion? How did the runway partnership come about with Amy Delson Jewelry? Amy: I'm thrilled that I was partnered with Studio 6th Sense for our runway collaboration. I had been approached by the organizers of Nolcha Fashion Week about participating this season, so I expressed my desire to be present both on the runway and in the fashion lounge. They forwarded photos of my latest work to the designers scheduled to show on the runway to assess their interest, and within minutes, Stephen Goudeau, the designer behind Studio 6th Sense, said he wanted to work with me. He'd fallen in love with a photo of my wide Tatiana Cuff bracelet on a model. We spoke on the phone, since he is based in Texas and I'm in NYC, and he emailed me some photos of his new collection. We were on the same page immediately with our common vision of a strong feminine woman. Stephen: I met Amy at Nolcha Fashion Week in September. I noticed her detail for jewelry pieces and I just knew I needed to collaborate with her. Her creation of the wrist bangles was the key accessory for my Fall line “Eternal Submission”. 4. What advice do you give to the future of fashion? Amy: I say, follow your instincts but always keep your eyes and ears open for stimulation and new perspectives. Having a strong inner voice is just as important as being able to translate your vision to the world. Stephen: No matter what happens, follow your creative niche. If we hold back for fear of how the world may interpret our creations, we are doing the fashion world no justice. Believe in yourself and work hard, the rest will follow. There are many of us that are bursting with creativity but we allow reality to suffocate us. Below you will find some of the photos of Amy Delson Jewelry and Studio 6th Sense at Nolcha FW 2013!
