Just Thought…. by Blue
Dating in 2018 has been a labyrinth of unspoken intentions & misconceptions. I thought, in this age of 'love is love’, we'd be more transparent with each other -- you know out of respect. Dating in 2018 has become a pass time rather than a stepping stone to legacy building. I thought careful selection and time worth spent were reserved for the best candidates. Dating in 2018 has become mentally and emotionally exhausting. I thought being around someone you care for can leave you rejuvenated, not drained from mulling over exes. Dating in 2018 brings on a new meaning to 'expect the unexpected’. I thought something that is unexpected means you did something different as to not repeat the same mistakes over and over again and hope for forgiveness. You know like you expect to see your 'ex’ and expect to be intimate with your 'ex’ but the sudden pregnancy was oh so unexpected. I guess it really meant ex marks the spot. Dating in 2018 is about blended time, patience & families. I thought blended means there will come a time that those with children will meet each other's children. Dating in 2018 is having pride in your choice of independence and love. I thought this means you didn't have to date in secret from your normal life. You eventually incorporate your choice into your growth as a whole person. Dating in 2018 is more than just escaping your past mistakes. I thought significant others spend time together to truly know one another without pretense, instead of running from the results of past poor decisions. Dating is 2018 is actions speak louder than words. I thought juggling time between more than one candidate can be hard. Apparently most people date magicians. Dating in 2018 is social media proof. I thought it doesn't really matter if you post your significant other on social media. All that matters is you act accordingly to your relationship status on and off social media. 2018 SCP Newsletter Q3 News... by on Scribd
Everyone seems to have their hand out. As human beings, that seems to be the nature – to always have our hands out to receive.
What does it take for a human to want to just give? I can tell you what it takes. It takes knowing what it is to not have at all, yet still see someone that is in more need than yourself. The last statement is not including the people that lie, cheat and swindle their way through life, which brings them misfortune of all kinds. But this statement is for those that have genuinely lived good lives but seem to always be down on their luck. Funny thing is that the genuine that are down on their luck find joy. They find joy in having the little that they have and the appreciation that God provides for them. God given provision affords a human to give more than what has been received. But then there is an irritating side to this giving nature. Yeah, those that take advantage of your giving. You can give your home, finances, attention, love and even more to someone that only has the desire to take and you will never receive from that person. These people are called vampires. Vampires will suck the very energy from you, just to move on to the next person. How do you recognize these vamps? Well they usually don’t own anything to their own name. They consistently live with other people without contribution to the home as a whole. They don’t buy food for the entire home, nor do they pay any of the bills that keep the home running. Vamps also walk around as if they are entitled to things that they didn’t earn themselves. They will take ownership of accolades, items & even time that doesn’t belong to them. They feel as if the hard worker should continue to do the hard work, while they sweep in and just pretend they were there the entire time. How do you become free from the vamp? Shed some light on the situation. That’s right, speak up & tell the truth of how their behavior affects you and others that they come in contact with. As a giver, the vampire attraction is potent. But, your light needs to be even more potent. You must clearly state that you are no longer going to feed their selfish desires. If the vamp chooses to want to leave, let them. As a giver, you want to also be able to give more to fix the situation. But, now is not the time to think about giving. Now is the time to think about taking back your integrity, hard work, and respect as a person. Stand your ground and move forward. Meditate and pray for more givers to cross your path, sharing in giving to each other! Premier Programs exists to serve the youth of Haiti by guiding them in learning fundamental life skills, providing practical training, increasing their education level, all while creating a sustainable economic future. Phase 1 involved the Official opening of Premier Vocational School (PVS) on April . The blood, sweat and tears that has been poured into this project came into fruition in front of our eyes.
The Board of PVS, the community of Liancourt and the Staff at PVS could not be any more proud of this amazing achievement! Almost 1 year to the date of opening, the idea of opening a school in Haiti had come to the minds of our founders - Jean Edy Raymond and Rougens Stinvil (who both reside in Florida). After much careful research and planning it was decided that a vocational school would be the most effective project to begin Premier Programs. PVS is dedicated not only to the students but to the whole community surrounding PVS. We are here to not only uplift our students but also; the town of Liancourt, their wider commune, and the country of Haiti as a whole. Our first program which began with 20 students on April will teach the students, English, Practical Skills, and Electrical Vocational training. It is our mission to change the course of these young peoples lives by promoting the growth and development of each student attending PVS. We are providing dedicated, top quality teaching and management staff, a high quality curriculum in a very supportive environment. Most of all thank you to all of our donors who so generously made this happen!
